The morning was cool and humid when I woke up. After breaking down my tent and getting my things in my pack, I headed back across the street to have breakfast with the other hikers.

After a restful day in town, it was time to get back on trail. But first, breakfast! You guys know I had to head back to Cracker Barrel for a hearty southern breakfast.

Town day! My goal for today was to make it into Hamburg, PA, so I could pick up a prescription from Walmart and then head over to the Microtel for some rest and relaxation.

A beautiful, clear morning greeted me when I woke up this morning. Packing my things up, I enjoyed the serenity of being up on the ridge.

My day started with a short, gradual climb, which, looking at PA’s elevation profile, seems par for the course. Right when I was about to start climbing, I noticed a funny feeling under my foot.

Whew, last night was so much fun, but I definitely felt it this morning. Still, my internal hiker clock forced me up around 7 am. After showering and getting most of my things together, the first order of business was breakfast!

After a glorious night of rest, it was time for me to get back on trail. I had a delicious homemade breakfast to start my day and got back on trail around 9 am.

This morning, I was on a mission. The mission? Eat a hot breakfast. There was a hiker friendly store about a mile away from where I camped and I wanted to get there as early as possible so that I could eat and be on my way.

Today was a HUGE day, full of milestones and celebrations. It was so fun! The day started like any other day.

When I woke up this morning, I felt like I was truly having an authentic AT thru hike experience. I was in a little hiker bubble, I saw familiar faces every day, and I was excited about what the rest of the trail could bring.
